Sources for
Powerfood Concentrates (green drinks)
Good sources to look for green drinks include health food stores and natural food distributors. Some powerfood concentrates are sold in dried form and can be reconstituted by mixing with various fruit or vegetable juices, as well as in water. Some specialty restaurants sell fresh-made fruit and vegetable drinks. Others are sold in liquid form, usually in refrigerated sections of health or grocery stores. If you buy these, be sure to check their expiration dates. If you are taking Coumadin (warfarin), be cautious about adding these drinks to your diet, and once you have started them, plan to be consistent about your daily intake. These juices can be high in vitamin K and could thus interfere with the anticoagulant properties of Coumadin.
